"Usage limit reached"

Why Grove paused your chat, when it comes back, and what you can still do.

Written by Jack Meyers

Each person can use Grove's chat up to a limit. When you reach it, the message box changes to Usage limit reached. You can't send Grove new messages until the limit resets.

When it resets

The message tells you, such as "Resets 2h 15m (at 3:45 PM)." The time is in your time zone. When that time comes, the message box comes back by itself.

Your limit counts how much you use Grove over two periods:

  • The last 5 hours.

  • The last 7 days.

If you reach the 7-day limit, the wait can be longer than a few hours.

The limit is yours only. Your teammates can still use Grove.

What still works

  • You can read all your chats.

  • You can open, read, and edit documents.

  • You can use the Queue, Work, and Strategy.

What waits until the reset

  • Sending Grove a message.

  • Retry on a failed reply. Hover over it to see when it's available again.

  • Answering Grove's questions.

  • Starting a session Grove offers. Grove shows: "You've reached your spend limit, so the session didn't start. Try again later."

Need it sooner?

Click Contact the Grove team next to the reset time. Tell us what you're working on. We can reset your limit.
