Shipped isn't done until someone checks. Grove reads the shipped code and tells you what it found. You try the work and decide. Only a person can mark an outcome done, or a project built.
Find work to review
Open the project's Overview. On the Scope tab, look at the tag next to each outcome:
Ready for review: Grove read the merged code and finds the outcome done. Try it.
Needs you: a builder says the outcome is done, but Grove couldn't find it in the code. You decide.
The status card's headline also tells you, such as "2 outcomes are ready to try." Review items don't appear on your Queue.
See what Grove found
Click an outcome's tag. A panel shows:
A headline, such as "Done in the code," "Not in the code yet," or "Grove can't confirm this is done."
Needs input and Worth knowing: what to do, and what to know.
What Grove's read found: why Grove thinks the outcome isn't done yet, when that's the case.
Pull requests behind this: each linked pull request. Each one says whether it completes or advances the outcome, and whether Grove has read it.
When nothing is linked yet, the panel says No pull requests linked yet, and tells you how builders link their work.
Try the work
Grove reads code. It doesn't use your product. Before you tick an outcome, see it working yourself, such as in a test build or a preview.
For Needs you, Grove and the builder disagree, and Grove can't settle that. Try the work. If it works, tick the outcome. If it doesn't, tell the builder, or raise a thread on the project. See Use threads to ask, flag, and decide.
Tick an outcome done
Click the outcome's check box. You don't need to click Edit scope first. The tag changes to Done.
Done overrides every other tag.
If you untick it, the tag goes back to what the evidence shows.
Anyone who can edit the project can tick or untick an outcome. Builders' coding agents can see which outcomes are ticked.
Set the project to Built
When every outcome is done, the headline says so, such as "All 3 outcomes are done." Grove doesn't set Built for you.
Click the status next to Project status.
Choose Built.
Grove records the date the project was completed. If you move the project out of Built, the date is cleared.
